Bank of America is teaming up with museums, zoos, and other venues across the country to offer free admission to selected sites throughout the country.
With your Bank of America debit or credit card, you can get one free admission on the first weekend of each month, now through September, with more dates potentially coming.
Remaining dates listed for 2010:
May 1st & 2nd
June 5th and 6th
July 3rd and 4th
August 7th and 8th
September 4th and 5th
According to the website, more dates for 2010 will come, so be sure to check the site in the coming months.
Some examples of the museums and other venues, such as zoos and aquariums, include:
New York City
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Bronx Zoo
New York Aquarium
Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
Whitney Museum of American Art
Chicago
Art Institute of Chicago
Chicago History Museum
Museum of Contemporary Art (No Sundays)

DuSable Museum of African American History (closed April 4th & July 4th)
Dallas

As noted above, there are some restrictions on dates for certain venues, particularly if they are not open, so be sure to check it out ahead of time.
There are over 100 museums and other venues participating, in several dozen different cities across the country. Unfortunately for me, there are none in New Orleans as of yet, but it looks like there are some pretty good museums, zoos, and aquariums participating around the country.
Check it out if there is one close by you!
