The weather down here in south Louisiana has actually been getting a bit warm and humid lately, but the last two days have been cool, breezy, and beautiful.  I spent most of today outside cleaning up the yard and garage and playing with the kids. I know it won’t be too much longer before it is downright hot!

I participated in 3 carnivals this past week : David at Moneyning hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance #147- Q1 Financial Advice Edition and included my April Fool’s Post “The Top Ten Ways To Aggravate Your Spouse or Significant Other with Your Frugality”.  This post was also highlighted on the MSN Smart Spending Blog on Thursday. I am not sure if MSN realized it was an “April Fool’s “post”, i.e., a joke….Oh well!

My favorite posts from the Carnival:

No Credit Needed describes how to Get the Entire Family Involved With Managing Our Finances. It is very important, I have found, to get everyone involved so they feel like they have a say, if you want to successfully manage your finances as a family.

Lily from the Honest Dollar presents 100 Ways to Cope with Inflation, a huge list of money saving and frugal tips.

A Penny Saved hosted the Festival of Frugality #120, and included my post “30 Ways to Stretch and Maximize Your Dollar”.

My favorite posts from the festival were:

Free Money Finance describes the Frugal Fundamentals.

Aryn at Sound Money Matters shows you how to Clean Clutter Out of Your Life to Free Your Money. I have been on a decluttering kick as of late, so I enjoyed this post.

Mommy Gets Paid hosted the Money Hacks Carnival #7-Real People Named Hacker Edition and included my post  “Avoiding the “Free Lunch” to Save Money as an editor’s pick.

My favorite posts from the Money Hacks Carnival:

The Silicon Valley Blogger presented 10 Ways to Organize and Simplify Your Finances at The Digerati Life.
